For all of Twitter's benefits — immediacy, connection, information — it's also given jerks a direct line to be absolutely awful to people without fear of being punched in the face. (Anybody can be a tough guy when they're an anonymous tough guy.) The result is a license for hate speech, something Miley Cyrus is all too familiar with.
For some reason, certain pop culture fandom fiefdoms feel like the more they hate the competitors, the more it shows their love for celeb they've adopted as ... |

Here's what you missed on Sunday if you were too busy hanging out with mom to catch Justin Bieber's cameo on The Simpsons: The Biebs tried to enter a Springfield talent show but was rejected because he wasn't under 10. After ONLY ten seconds, the pop star then storms off the screen as "All clear - The Simpsons will be Bieber free from this point" flashes in his place.
But as producer Al Jean recently told Rolling Stone, Bieber was worked into an episode only because a family member of series... |

Despite rumors pointing to a Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez reunion following their run-in in Norway last month, Gomez is very much a single lady. During a radio interview on Friday, Gomez put the rumors to rest when the DJ asked about her dating life. "So sometimes you may see a boy walking down the street and he says, 'let's grab a ice-cream' — you're available? Completely available in every way?"
To which Gomez responded with resounding affirmative, "Yep, by the way, that'd be awesome if so... |

Justin Timberlake is suiting up for a world tour this fall.
The "Mirrors" singer has announced that in addition to releasing a second half of "The 20/20 Experience," he's also going to embark on a tour that will last through 2014.
Timberlake hinted around the March release of "Experience" that the 10-track disc was actually only the first half of his heralded return to music. The 32-year-old has since confirmed that part two will arrive on September 30, roughly a month before he kicks off ... |

As expected, CBS’ Two and a Half Men will return next season.
Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer have both signed on for another round, with Kutcher getting a reported $700,000-per-episode payout. But don’t expect Angus T. Jones to be back full time. Studio Warner Bros. is talking to the actor about a possible recurring role on the show instead of coming back as a series regular.
Cue the usual quips about whether the show’s title should be changed.
Jones infamously bashed his show earli... |

Better get those tissues ready, because it's been confirmed that someone will die during the season finale of The Vampire Diaries.
That's right, as if Jeremy, Kol, and Carol Lockwood's deaths this season weren't enough (not to mention Alaric, Lexie, Jenna, and everyone else who passed away during the previous seasons), executive producer Julie Plec has revealed that one Mystic Falls resident won't make it out of this season alive:
The big question on every Vampire Diaries fan's mind? J... |

Demi Lovato's new video for "Heart Attack" dropped this week, and now we know what she was doing walking around with black ink on her hands a while back. The Chris Applebaum-directed clip features the ex-Disney star belting her heart out in black and white.
"The song is about this kind of duality that Demi faces," Applebaum told MTV. "She's singing about really wanting to fall in love. But then also really wanting to make sure she holds herself back a little bit, so she doesn't get hurt. She ... |

"Glee" actor Cory Monteith, who's portrayed Finn Hudson on the Fox comedy since it began in 2009, has checked into rehab.
A rep tells CNN that the 30-year-old has voluntarily entered a treatment facility for substance addiction.
"He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery," Monteith's rep says in a statement.
Monteith has been frank about his struggles with substance abuse, telling Parade magazine in 2011 that he began using drugs at... |

The massively talented Ariana Grande has finally dropped her debut single, "The Way," which samples Big Pun's "Still Not a Player" and features guest verses from Mac Miller. The Sam & Cat star channels Mariah Carey at her breathiest at moments, comfortably transitioning into a belt-it-out radio diva a la Demi Lovato. The music video drops this Thursday, with a full album following late this summer or early this fall.

(TI4U) Actress/Singer Miley Cyrus is apparently sick of rumors about her private life. After multiple reports of a breakup with Liam Helsworth, and a wedding cancellation, the rebellious star tweeted:

It's been a rough week for poor ol' ladykiller Harry Styles. First he takes a shoe to the crotch, and then he's named "Villain of the Year" by a league of British music snobs, i.e. NME, who also named One Direction the "Worst Band."
Thankfully Harry seems to have a sense of humor about it. Though he wasn't able to attend Wednesday evening's NME Awards due performance obligations, he did thank the UK music magazine for the dubious honor. "And thank you to @NME for my award tonight. Gotta take... |

Sorry, ladies who were in middle school in the late '90s: The Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter appears to be off the market.
Carter, 33, hinted at a very major life event in a recent Instagram photo with the caption, "Big question...great answer."
Carter popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Kitt on a secluded Florida Keys island with a 7-carat ring diamond ring. Kitt is a fitness expert who was maybe in talks to become a WWE Diva late last year. She tweets things like, "Workin... |

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are taking their very dapper lovefest on the road this summer, Rolling Stone reports.
Though details are scant, the "Suit & Tie" duo is reportedly planning to headline 11 to 13 stadium dates in a few months (we're guessing Barclay Center is on the agenda, somehow). Timberlake confirmed the news on the red carpet at Sunday evening's Grammy Awards, although he remained coy: "We're definitely going to go on tour . . . I don't know how much I should say . . . It's goi... |

After 12 seasons, everyone know that American Idol fans love a good sob story. But did contestant Matt Farmer stretch the truth just a little too much?
During Farmer's Wednesday night audition, the 26-year-old claimed to have sustained a traumatic brain injury after an IED exploded while he was serving in Iraq. The singer said the medication he took for the brain injury was supposed to leave him sterile, but six months later his "miracle baby" Cadence was on the way. Adorable little Cadence, ... |
