Justin Bieber pays $80,000 in egging incident
Justin Bieber has paid more than $80,000 in restitution to resolve a criminal misdemeanor vandalism charge filed after his neighbor's home in Calabasas was egged, authorities said Monday.

Bieber, who pleaded no contest to the vandalism charge in July, has also completed a good chunk of his anger management classes, his attorney told a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Monday.

The 20-year-old pop star's attorney, Shawn Holley, said that she expects Bieber to complete those anger management classes by Feb. 10, 2015, along with five days of community service.

Holley was in court with prosecutors to give an update on Bieber's probation for the act of vandalism last January.

Bieber entered a no contest plea to the misdemeanor to avoid a felony charge and was ordered to pay $80,900 in restitution. Bieber and several friends were accused of egging the expensive exterior of his neighbor's multi-million dollar mansion.

Authorities said the damage to Web mogul Jeff Schwartz's home totaled $20,000, which could have qualified him for a felony.

As part of the deal, Bieber was ordered to stay away from Schwartz. Bieber had previously been accused of spitting at the same neighbor, but was not prosecuted.

In the aftermath of the egg-throwing incident, Bieber sold the home in the 25000 block of Prado Del Grandiaso to Khloe Kardashian. The egging incident was the culmination of several run-ins with neighbors, who complained about parties at his home and fast cars on the residential street.

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at Bieber's home in Calabasas on Jan. 14 as part of the investigation, during which Xavier Smith, a.k.a. Lil Za, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.

Smith later pleaded no contest to drug possession and vandalizing a sheriff's department phone.
