Shia LaBeouf admits Natalie Portman crush

The 21-year-old actor has a “strange attraction” to the Star Wars actress and would have loved it if she had been cast alongside him in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

He said: “I thought it would have been cool to see Natalie Portman in this movie as the daughter, but that didn't happen. But I was on that bandwagon. I was in the Natalie Portman fan club. I have a strange attraction to Natalie Portman.”

Shia - who plays Mutt in the movie - also admitted to finding co-star Karen Allen attractive.

He said: “Karen is hot. I have a crush on Karen.”

Shia has also praised his other cast mates, describing Cate Blanchett as “incredible”.

He said: "I think that Cate is incredible. She might be the scariest villain in any of these films. She's terrifying. This might be the best cast. Ray Winstone - he’s a beast. He's an incredible actor, and obviously Harrison Ford is great as Indy."

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is released in cinemas on May 22.
