After finishing her work with The Cheetah Girls, she worked on her own solo material. In November of 2008 she filmed a music video for what was supposed to be her debut single 'Make Me A Drink'. Although the full song and music video never materialized, a snippet was released on the internet in August of 2009. By 2010 she had recorded a number of solo songs ('Shut the F Up', 'Tell Her', 'Better Be' and 'Dominatrix') that where never released. Her only full solo song to be released to date is 'Spectacular' which spawned negative reviews.
Retired from singing in 2010 (after the negative reception of her song "Spectacular" and scrapping of her debut single "Make Me A Drink") to pursue creative work in music production and behind the scenes work in TV writing and production.
Has a daughter: Rowan Cox (b. March 21, 2018) with husband, Brandon Cox.
In 2021 Kiely returned to singing after she was cast in "BET Presents The Encore". She has since gone on to join BluPrint.
