Lou is the son of Linda (Farver) Pucci, a onetime model and former Miss Union County, and guitarist Lou Pucci, formerly of the groups "The Watch" and "Leap of Faith". He never showed any interest in singing or acting as a child till his aunt Cindy bribed him to try out for a community theater production of "Oliver" when he was 10; two years later, he was on Broadway in "The Sound Of Music". At 15 he landed a part in a small independent film called Personal Velocity: Three Portraits (2002), which won the grand jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival. This recognition got Lou noticed by his current agent, Billy Lazarus of United Talent Agency, and by his manager, Bob Glennon. Since the release of Lou's first feature film lead in Thumbsucker (2005)_ he has had parts in "Hbo's "Empire Falls", "The Chumscrubber" and "Fifty Pills" and is currently shooting Richard Kelly's "Southland Tales", The Green Day Video "Jesus of Suburbia" and rehearsing for Martin Hynes "The Go-Getter" with Zooey Deschanel, and Jena Malone. Lou also Won the "Jury Prize for acting" at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and Berlin's Silver Bear Award for best actor as Justin Cobb in "Thumbsucker".

In his senior year of high school, he won a prize at his school for his Halloween costume - he dressed as silent film legend Charles Chaplin.

He was very involved in his high school's theater, Pegasus Productions. He played Billy in his school's production of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes" and the Jesus character in the school's production of "Godspell". He also portrayed Ebenezer Scrooge in a student-run production of "A Christmas Carol".

Has a younger sister named "Penelope Ann" after a character in the musical "Bye, Bye, Birdie", but everyone calls her "Poo".

Graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey in 2003.

Reunited with 'D'Onofrio, Vincent', who played his father in Thumbsucker (2005), in the May 30, 2006 episode of 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' entitled "Cruise to Nowhere (#5.19)".

His favorite actors are Gary Oldman, Steve Buscemi and Vincent D'Onofrio.

(October 2005) In Los Angeles after filming "Southland Tales" and Green Day's "Jesus of Surburbia" Video, Lou is rehearsing for the lead in Martin Hynes "The Go-Getter" and also for a part in Richard Linklater's "Fast Food Nation".

(September 2006) Currently in New Mexico Filming the Pastor Brothers movie "Carriers".

(February 2007) After attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah in January to promote "the Go-Getter", He is now in Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada Filming "The Horsemen" with Dennis Quaid.

(September 2007) In Philadelphia, Pa. shooting Mark Webber and Jim Jarmusch's "Explicit Ills"

(October 2007) Los Angeles doing reshoots for "Carriers" and shooting "the Informers"

(August 2008) Arlington, Texas shooting a movie called "Roslyn" which also stars his friends Trevor Morgan and Jon Foster.
