The Canadian actor started out as a national gymnast and diver. He is also fluent in French and German. He received his first break when cast in the starring role of the Columbia Records/Nickelodeon movie, Spectacular! (2009) (TV) opposite Victoria Justice. He originated the role of "Conrad Birdie" in the Broadway production of "Bye Bye Birdie" in 2009/2010. Deemed "Excellent" by The New Yorker as well as being singled out by The New York Times... the run was a success for the young performer. Nolan can be seen opposite Oscar nominees Jennifer Lawrence and Elisabeth Shue in House at the End of the Street (2012). Funk shot "Evidence" opposite Stephen Moyer for the producers of "Drive" and starred in the ABC Family Pilot "Intercept" in 2012. It was recently reported by Variety that he is starring opposite Vin Diesel in the Untitled Chronicles of Riddick Sequel. He also shot "Wildlike" opposite Ella Purnell. And he just starred in the Paul Schrader and Brett Easton Ellis film "The Canyons" opposite Lindsay Lohan.
