Mini Biography
At the age of 10 Cody began his on-air career at CHOO-FM in Tofino. He hosted his own radio show called Bust-A-Groove each Saturday. At 12 he moved with his family to Port Alberni and took his radio show to the local station, AV1240 in the Alberni Valley. It is while in Port Alberni that he cinched the Guinness World Record as Youngest Radio Presenter. His record is recorded in the Guinness World Records 2005: Special 50th Anniversary Edition page 25 and again in the same book on the last page.
He covered the Juno Awards in eastern Canada as a correspondent twice for various radio stations in BC and hosted his own mini-series for City TV (CHUM Network) called 'Cody's Odessey' featuring his last visit to the Juno's.
Mike Bullard of Open Mike with Mike Bullard, invited him as a guest in 2002 and Cody was on MTV in November 2004 to talk up his record, his radio show and his part in The Long Weekend.
The summer of 2005 Dakota was a full-time intern on CHUM Television's daily show "969". There Cody worked on and off camera and learned the inner-workings of a daily television show.
Cody was awarded the 2004 Youth Entrepreneur of the Year in his region, is an avid snowboarder, skateboarder and surfer.
Now a grade 12 student, along with his acting in film he can be found at the Capitol Theater performing in various stage productions produced locally.
Cody has five brothers and one sister, he is a member of ACTRA and is proud to be a recognized member of the Metis Community in British Columbia.
