Has studied at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, one of the most prestigious stage schools in the UK.
Is dyslexic.
Knew he wanted to be an actor after watching a performance of Lionel Bart's musical "Oliver!" and being inspired by the role of Artful Dodger. He would end up playing the Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist (2005).
After auditioning fourteen times, he was finally beat off 2,500 other boys to win the role of Paul in Pure (2002).
Plays football, golf and tennis.
Enjoys surfing, a sport he was introduced to by his co-star Jeremy Sumpter while they were on location in Australia filming Peter Pan (2003).
