Monty has written for shows such as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (2009), Comedy Central Roast of James Franco (2013), and CollegeHumor Originals (2006). His production company Final Boss Inc. has millions of views online and has sold pilots to MSN. Monty has also placed in national stand up, improv, and sketch competitions.

Since September 2019, he has been the co-spokesperson and appeared in a series of commercials alongside Jon Hamm for the Canadian food delivery app called SkipTheDishes.
