Mini Biography
Shane Murray-Corcoran was born in Dublin, Ireland. In 1998, he made his acting debut in Alan Parkers' acclaimed feature film Angela's Ashes for Universal Pictures opposite Robert Carlyle and Emily Watson. He went on to appear in a number of feature films including Zonad directed by John Carney (Once, Bachelors Walk) for High Hat Productions opposite Cillian Murphy, King Arthur directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Town, Training Day) for Touchstone Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer Productions, Reign of Fire directed by Rob Bowman (The X-Files, Star Trek : The Next Generation) for Touchstone Pictures/Spyglass Entertainment and Savage directed by Brendan Muldowney (Love Eternal) for SP Films. He made his television debut appearing on Germany's award winning detective series Bella Block directed by Sherry Hormann (Desert Flower) for Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen as Paddy in a two part Irish special. Shane has also featured in a number of short films including the IFTA nominated If I Should Fall Behind directed by Morgan Bushe for Fastnet Films, Emily's Song directed by Frank Kelly for Palestone Productions which was awarded the Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival and the multiple award winning Innocence directed by Brendan Muldowney for SP Films. On stage, Shane made his debut at the Abbey Theatre starring in Medea alongside Fiona Shaw and directed by Deborah Warner. He also appeared in Marina Carr's award winning play Aeriel directed by Conall Morrison, also at the Abbey Theatre and appeared in the World Premier of Defender of the Faith written by Stuart Carolan (Love/Hate), directed by Wilson Milam at the Peacock Theatre. In 2014, Shane made his U.S. theatre debut performing in the award winning play Hospitality Suite at Citadel Theatre Chicago, written by Roger Rueff (The Big Kahuna) and directed by Cody Estle. In April of that same year, he went on to play the role of Frank Lubey in the award winning production of All My Sons at Raven Theatre Chicago directed by Mike Menindian. The show received critical acclaim in Chicago and also received an award for "Best Revival of a Play" by Broadway World Chicago.
