Christina Schmidt attended high school at Waterloo Oxford High School in Baden, Ontario and Cameron Heights Collegiate in Kitchener. She auditioned for and was picked from hundreds of Degrassi:The Next Generation hopefuls. Christina was cast as part of the original D:TNG cast for the leading role of Terri MacGregor. She has studied acting with Dean Armstrong of "Queer as Folk" and the New York Broadway musical "Rent" at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto. As well as being a professional Actress, Christina is also a professional print fashion model! One of her most memorable acting career moments was winning the "Young Artist Award" for best supporting actress in Los Angeles in April 2005.
Completed 4 years of high school in 3, graduating as an honor roll student and receiving awards for top English and math marks among her peers.
Christina loves to travel and has been to many European destinations. She has also traveled extensively in North America and Mexico. Los Angeles, Santa Monica, the Mexican Riveriera, Italy's Amalfi Coast and Spain are among her favorites. She holds a German passport as well as Canadian.

On her 'Degrassi' character, Terri McGreggor: "There are things I like and don't like about Terri. I like that she's so laid back and that she's nice. The only thing I don't like is that she's so self-conscious, but it's realistic, 'cause there are lots of people like that. I think lots of girls relate to Terri."
